THoMer thoughts about Web Summit 2018

Anne-Charlotte de Cartier - Senior Consultant
Passionate about customer journeys and the optimization of communication flows, I gathered a lot of insights at the Summit by attending several talks and meeting innovative start-ups. From what I’ve seen, the main challenge will be to integrate a human element in the tools and techniques we use as marketers and to be aware of their limits when building customer journeys.

As I am currently working on a GDPR implementation project in the automotive industry, I was very interested to discover the impact of the GDPR on businesses after May 25th. The GDPR is not just a fad, but here to stay. From well established companies to start-ups, they all need to take into account the privacy regulations and find a way to use it as an opportunity to build customer trust.
    Eva Dillen - Senior Consultant
The Web Summit is all about technology and web. As a digital marketer focused on customer centricity and design thinking, I was particularly interested to discover how companies find the balance between tech and offering a customer experience with a human touch in a technology-driven world.

What a blast! The diversity of people and subjects was incredible. Shaking hands with start-ups from all over the world, attending pitches of all kinds of entrepreneurs and witnessing inspirational speeches and on-stage demonstrations, was really amazing. Happy to see that VR & AR are finding their way to day-to-day applications and I’m eager to see what the future holds for mobility and smart cities.
